I was a pupil of Academy primary school many moons ago!! I really enjoyed my time there I still remember all the tears on my last day in P7 . It is a wonderful primary school and it is lovely to see the positive messages from pupils past and present showing that years on it is still a great place to be. Keep up the fantastic work. Its great to see that the school has leapt into the 21st centurry better than some of the Grmmar schools about and carried on the tradition of a P7 leavers assembly (I managed to miss ours by being on holiday). Hi everybody, been looking at this rather impressive website which has been created for my old primary school. Yes I am Academy Primary School alumni (a former pupil). Me and alot of the other class of 1999 pupils have been discussing a possible reunion of us all at some stage during the summer. We haven't finalised dates yet or anything but we have come up with a number of suggestions for a venue for it and one of them is to host the reunion with the grounds of the prestiguous old primary school. I thought this was a gd idea and an ideal solution as everyone would know how to get to it. Anyways just wondering if this is a possibly at all, just a suggestion but it would be gd. Also writing to report of success of class of 2006 Academy alumni. Hannah McMillan is the head girl of VCB (Victoria College Belfast) and Matthew McDowell is the head boy of Down High Grammar School (my school). He was also selected earlier this year for the Ulster U18 rugby squad. Just thought I would keep you all posted and the successes of these former pupils, Academy is the best!

Once when i was in ICT, we were allowed to do whatever we wanted and i went on to this website and i was showing everyone how great academy really was and one of my best mates rebekah (becka) was just absolutly shocked by how great academy was!! Victoria Withers and Rachel Tate are in my class but i am still friends with people in other classes such as Rachael Martin, Rebecca Robinson, Hannah Stevenson, Grace Gardener and not forgeting the boys Ben Davison and Chris Eccles. I am also still friends with people who went to other schools such as sarah morrsion who has made me friends with loads of really nice people who go to Victoria, Erin H-H, Amy Wilson, Andy Scott etc. My my, i really really miss you all!! Seems like yesterday I was doing all my practice papers for the 11+ but now I'm doing practice A level questions!!! Bit of a change.
I'm in my last year at Victoria College and I know there are a few Academy girls floating about Victoria, and if you see this, don't be scared to just say hi (I'm the head girl by the way! :op)

Hi Academy. Was on the internet and came across the website and thought i'd write a little note. Haven't been to visit the school since i left in June 2003, but know most of whats been going on from my wee brother. It was sad to hear about the accident involving the two little girls a week or two ago, but am glad to hear that they are back at school again. Down High school is good although there is alot more work, i think i'm coping fine. I have kept in touch with alot of my friends, mostly because some of them came to Down High too. it's good to see that all the children are still having alot of fun on school trips as our year did and the work by the pupils is amazing, it continues to amaze me. just like to say hi to a couple of people; ASHLEY G, SCOTT S, ALEX T, CONNOR D, JESSICA S, STEPHAINE J and any other nice people i knew that i have forgetten to mention. P.S the P7's did a brilliant job at the 11+ this year and i hope they enjoy their new schools. xx

hey do you remember us the terrible twins!!! as everyone called us. We are about to sit our GCSE's at victoria college. We also play on the 1st hockey team, and reached the semi-finals of the Schools Cup this year. This is all thanks to Mrs Adamson who started us playing hockey in P4.

Hi just back from France had an amazing time. My favourite day was Disneyland(of course) The hotel was lovely and the food was really nice. My favourite ride was Thunder Mountain, i was really scared at the start but when i got on it it was great. Oh and one more thing i didn't know the teachers where so much fun!!!!

Hi there everyone. I'm writing from the cyber cafe in the hostel we are staying in. It is the end of day 2 and everyone has had a great time so far. The flight only took 1 hour 10 minutes and we had a beautiful boat trip on the river Seine on Monday afternoon. We went to Shannon's school on Tuesday morning and had breakfast and listened to some lovely poetry. Then on to Versailles where we visited a market and the palace. It was huge and we saw the Hall of Mirrors. We then went to the Pompideau ?? centre and watched the street performers and shopped!
Disney on Thursday!!!!!

Hey all at academy! I can't believe that 6 years ago I was thinking about leaving the best school in the world! I know all the current pupils agree with me....make the most of your time at academy, high school is very different!
I'd just like to thank all the teachers that helped me through my 7 years there, they obviously didn't do too bad as I am now head girl of Victoria College. Also especially Mrs Adamson, without you believing in me when I started hockey, I never wold have ended up representing Ulster at both under 16 and under 18 level.
