The Board of Governors

The Board of Governors has nine members. Membership is representative of a number of interests. Historically, the Churches are represented by four Transferor representatives. The S.E.E.L.B. has two representatives, there are two parent representatives and one teacher representative. The Principal acts as secretary to the Board of Governors and the Vice Principal acts as minute secretary. Those appointed as Governors hold office for a four year term.
The current term of office will run from 2006 - 2010
The Governors are responsible for the financial administration and management of the school as well as the delivery of the N.I. Curriculum
The Principal exercises delegated executive responsibilities for the daily management of all school activities. The Principal in turn delegates appropriate responsibilities to the Senior Management Team, subject co-ordinators and staff.
An annual report to the parents is held in November. Copies are made available to parents.

The Senior Management Team

Mr S.H. Moore
Mr Moore is our principal. He was appointed in 1999, having been our vice-principal since 1993.
He is responsible for the high quality of education your pupil will receive at this school. Mr Moore does not have a teaching committment but spends most mornings with administration. He also liaises with external agencies and provides classroom cover to release staff for monitoring and assessment.

Miss L. Bell
Miss Bell is our vice-principal. She joined the school in January 2007.
Her role is that of curriculum co-ordinator and maths co-ordinator.
She also assists with the school choir and Music within school.
Mrs. B. Johnston
Mrs Johnston is the head of Foundation Stage and the Early Years. As well as her responsibilities she co-ordinates ICT and has a full time Primary 1 teaching committment.

Miss D. Clarke
Miss Clarke is the head of Key Stage 1as well as a full time teacher of Primary 4. She is the co ordinator of The World Around us.



Mrs P. Woods
Mrs Woods is the head of Key Stage 2. As well as her responsibilities she also has a full time teaching committment and currently teaches in Primary 7.
She is our Designated Teacher for Pastoral Care.
